Foster Home

Foster home in Bangarapet

In Davengare regional villages there is desperate need to foster young girls who either have no parents or one parent who cannot afford to feed them. The local missionary family here began to help 1, 2 then 3 ... by fostering them to live in the church building facility – their home.  Within a year or 2, they had 10 desperate poor girls!

In 2011 Transformation begun building foundations for the extensions of the church at Davengare so that new rooms will house the foster girls and give flexibility and comfort for the Pastor and family. The church main hall can be used for more meetings without disruption. Transformation ministries will look forward to holding conferences with room for people to stay.

In July 2011 we finished 3 room extensions to the church and foster home. The 10 girls were so happy that this was THEIR room.  There was also a room for the pastor and his family. It was wonderful to see the people at the church so happy as these 3 rooms will enable them to care for the orphan girls better.

John, long term sponsor, visited and officially opened the extensions. Here are his words “... I am reminded that if you build it they will come". When people see how we Christians care for girls who cannot be cared for in their families we should be planning on recruiting more sponsors. The visitors room, I suspect and hope, will soon need to be requisitioned to house the response to the demonstration of God's love shown by his people in "Visiting the widows and orphans in their affliction". More girls to love and care for.  I was humbled by the faith of the Christian Brothers and Sisters that I met, who have nothing yet possess all things.
