Sewing School

The Transformation Ministry Sewing Centre held a graduation service for 11 girls who have completed the 6 month course. They all received a government recognised certificate which will help them get work. The KGF (Kolar Gold Fields) area once had many mines , but as they closed (late 2000) unemployment became major problem. Many of the women have difficulty supporting their families, and need to get work. There is some hope that a clothing or linen factory will be built soon.

Please pray that these women can get work and use the training they have received through Parivarthana (Transformation) ministries. Philip and James were able to be at the service where the local Anglican Bishop (who visits the training centre next to his church) gave an inspiring talk on Proverbs 31 – encouraging the women to share with others and their family their hard work and be a model of the “capable woman” that will show Gods work through them.
